Everyday Opulence

I love to mix fancy and rugged pieces. Maybe that is due to my appreciation of antiques and historical style and architecture. Everyday meets opulence. Today, I am feeling vintage hair (thinking Downton Abbey :) and sparkle with sassy pants and heels. I picked up these simple but pretty blooms at the market on Sunday and I really love the bright violet color and lush greenery.

I have toyed with the idea of renaming my blog since it started out as a mainly makeup/beauty blog and morphed into a fashion blog with a beauty detail spin. FACE IT CATALOG just doesn't quite seem to fit anymore. What do you think about your blog name or the name of your favorite blog? If you write your own blog, how did you name it?

Today, is the last day of July, can you believe it? Bring on AUGUST, I really love August because it is my birthday month and the birthday month for many people that I love. Also, football season starts soon and I get to prepare for my favorite season of the year, Autumn.

Hope your week is going really well! Thank you for reading and following along!

  1. If you're not happy with your blog name I say do it! I changed mine awhile back and it was definitely a great move.

  2. I say change your name if you want to! Now is the best time because I'm sure it'll get harder and harder as it gets bigger and bigger. I love that we could nail down the color of those pretty flowers!

  3. The mint green necklace and mint green top look so lovely together. Definitely eye catching. I love how you broke it up with the shorter rhinestone piece. Lovely! And I think you should change your blog name if you don't think it speaks to what your content is anymore. Plus that's the great thing about running your own blog, the freedom to do what you want.

  4. Gorgeous photos...
I hear ya about the name changing when I named my blog (HH Designs) it was going to have more interior design style than mostly a fashion and lifestyle blog... I've been toying with the idea too... However, I don't want to "box myself in" with a too genre specific name... so.. here I am stumped... I'm curious how you proceed!

    1. You know how I feel then! It's certainly a process. It's so hard to plan a new "brand" name.

  5. I hear you on this one. I'm thinking about changing my blog's name too, but I'm not quite sure if I should. Do you have any options in mind? By the way, you really know what you're doing. You look so stunning in your photos. Love the hair!

    1. I have been making a list and I think I need to take my time and really think hard about it. The pressure! Thank you for such a nice compliment!

  6. If you do want to change it I'd say change it now before you blog gets bigger. I personally think the name is great though. I really admire those who actually come up with a great blog name, I just went the lazy route and named my blog after myself. By doing that I really allowed myself to be able to write about anything that I like.

Great outfit as always. I really love the photography in this post.
