11 cravings for January

January is the time to peek out from under the blankets into what the Spring will hold. Not saying we are quite ready to give up our beautiful coats {this jeweled collar one is STUNNING + you know how I like fur sleeves} but we do want to incorporate some little glimmers of sunshine and fresh air into our outfits. 2014 is full of fun new trends that I will be bringing to you here on the blog. This collection of 11 pieces are some of my favorite items currently and are both luxury and affordable items.

Let's start with the Lulu Frost shoe clips. The perfect way to transform any pump for a fun look, they're earrings for your shoes! Speaking of shoes, Schutz is a new name in my vocabulary as I had never heard of them until this past Fall. The line has some really great Aquazzura-esque lace up sandals to check out like this pair. Statement jewelry is sticking around this season {so happy about that} and every gal needs a pair of statement earrings and a fresh, colorful statement necklace { check out Bauble Bar for some great bargains}. The more complex the better! And no, this is not a post sponsored by JCrew, I just happen to crave more than a couple pieces from their collection. Moving on to this silky Vince top which can be dressed up or down or paired with a cardi, blazer, or jacket. It's a gorgeous shade of gray and I can see it with all kinds of pretty pink lipstick or even red ;), or burgundy, the options with this piece are seriously endless.

I love this $98 bag so much and think it is such a steal. As I mentioned in this post, I am in the market for a new nude lipstick and remember this Bobbi Brown shade being really beautiful. Also, on my to buy list are the oversized Karen Walker Super Duper Strength sunglasses and a pair of leather moto gloves, these are so chic and at $55, are such a bargain.

The last item in this collection is what are being called "baby bootcut or mini bootcut" jeans. I AM ALL IN. I have been thinking about straying from my normal skinny jeans to some leg lengthening bootcut jeans but I really prefer them to be trim and hit at all the right places, nothing worse than baggy, sloppy flares. I LOVE the idea of a slim cut smaller bootcut and cant wait to get my hands on these to try on. I also found these great petites and am also loving these, these, and these.

Hope I have given you some ideas for this season, which of these is your favorite and what do you think about "baby bootcut jeans"? Yay or nay?

  1. I'm definitely in the market for some leather gloves and those shoe clips are AHH-mazing!

    1. I only need gloves early in the morning out here in San Diego, but I secretly wish I could wear them more often. #grassisalwaysgreenerontheotherside
