Beach Essentials

nars heatwave lipstick, beach hat, fashion blogger, red bathing suit

Today, I thought I would share some of my favorite beach essentials with you. Living at the beach, I know a thing or two about getting the most out of your seaside retreat, here's what I recommend:

The Perfect Red Swimsuit
I was on the hunt for a red bathing suit last year and came across this beautiful line, you know how I love a pop of red, plus its a classic shade to add to your collection. In my opinion the vibrant flame color as seen in these photos is primo top notch! Let your swimsuit do the talking with one of these beauties.

Shady Hat
Keep your pretty face out of the sun with an oversized hat, I never go to the beach without one and am in love with this adorable one currently.

Statement Sunglasses
Cool, casual, glam? Change your look with just a pair of sunglasses. Here are a few of my absolute favorites.

Beauty/Protector
Keep your beauty routine minimal, unless you are feeling defiant like me, want to go ultra glam with a swipe of red lipstick. Sunscreen is a no-brainer but not all are created equal. Look for a light weight, non-greasy version like these favorites. Add a bit of waterproof mascara if you like and you are looking lovely!

Graphic Beach Tote
A fun tote to stash all of your beach gear is a must. Look for one with a zipper pocket or toss in a pouch to protect your valuables. Add sunscreen, magazines, snacks, and a good book.

Cover Up
My cover up philosophy is that you can use a dress, a tunic, a sarong, or even a pair of shorts and a button up (my personal go-to).  Just buy a soft button up or tunic one or two sizes larger for an instantly cool cover up that will also take you to get fish tacos afterwards. I love this $34 one and this $29 option. Anything goes!

Towel Off
Never lose your spot with one of these fun towels!

Sandals!
Ohhhh my favorite, the sandals. This is the Summer of the sandal and there are endless options!

Have a great day!

    1. Thank you Ani! It is a bit expensive to live in California, I am from Ohio so it was quite a shock when I moved here. I am a Human Resources Business Partner. I think you would love it out here, you really cannot beat the weather and activities.
