New Year, new hair! I decided to start off 2015 with a new shorter 'do after recently becoming obsessed with all the #abovetheshoulder haircuts I have been seeing via Nine Zero One stylists in LA. I am a person who likes change (for example, I like to move, I know so weird) and after analyzing weather my face is too round for a shorter cut I decided I could pull it off. I visited my stylist at Suite B in Solana Beach, Scott Molnar and told him what I had in mind. Collarbone length, a tad longer in the front, tons of piecey layers, and some golden highlights. He did such a great job designing this new 'do for me. The cut was so great that I woke up like this. That's right, I didn't touch my hair with a curling iron or blow dryer for these pictures, just ruffled it and it was done.
I went to bed with a straight piecey style and woke up with waves galore. This, up until now, has always been a negative aspect to having curly hair. I have to start over every morning because the curls make their appearance overnight. I am optimistic that with my new cut, I may be able to give my hair a break and have fun with a wavy voluminous style like the one I woke up with!
If you are looking to achieve thicker, more workable strands I highly recommend this leave in plumping treatment. I spritz it on after my leave in conditioner, comb it through and it lasts 2-3 shampoos. It gives instant thickness and plump to your hair and smells great!

And my new favorite hair product is one that Scott introduced me to by Bumble and Bumble called Dryspun Finish thickening spray. If dry shampoo and volumizing spray had a baby this would be that love child. I love that unlike dry shampoo it is colorless, that means no white powder residue. It is super airy and instantly gives your hair a non-greasy texture and lift. I used this when I had my hair done and a day later my hair was not greasy and still had TONS of texture and volume. Seriously obsessed. I can't wait to show you how it looks straight.
What are your hair aspirations this season? I am working at mastering the hair flip, I think it's so California cool!
