Ta-da! What do you think? I am so happy with the carpet we chose! And it was so fun going through all of the great options through Lowe's and finding this beautiful carpet, perfect for our new house.
We chose Stainmaster TruSoft Berber carpet for a few reasons. When we were picking out our carpet we wanted quality, stain resistence, style, and softness. This carpet checked all of these boxes. I tried several Stainmaster carpets including the Pet Protect line but the TruSoft did better for stain removal than the Pet Protect did. I tested our carpet sample by putting pizza sauce, wet dirt, and apple juice in each corner and then used soap and water to treat the stain. I know, I should have photographed this but I didn't. Sorry, but you will have to take my word for it. The stains did come out even though the carpet is a light beige. Winner!
This stylish carpet, also by Stainmaster, stole my heart from the very beginning. I actually toyed with using this carpet all over but we decided it was too busy for the entire upstairs with all of the bedrooms, but we both loved it so we put it in our master closet. The chic herringbone pattern took our closet to a whole other level. From blah to beautiful! It is gorgeous. I love this carpet for the stairs especially but with the flow of our upstairs we couldn't make it happen.
I really can't get over how much more cushy this padding is under our new carpet and how soft and luxurious it feels to step out of bed in the morning. Totally worth the upgrade! Carpet is so important in your home as it is a base for your style and comfort. Now that we have the carpet done, it's time to buy furniture and start to decorate upstairs. We were holding off on doing this until we chose the carpet.
My advice when choosing new carpet is to take your time and look at lots of samples. Order lots of samples in several shades to try out in your home in different rooms. Do a stain test on some of them to see how easily it will be to spot treat it. Be smart about your needs and what works for your family. I had such a great experience with Lowe's from start to finish and I would absolutely recommend them to you for your new carpet.
Be sure to check out the "before" shots and my review of the installation process here. I would love to hear from you, what do you think about the re-do? What questions do you have?
