A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!

I've been keeping a secret from you for a long time and I am so excited to announce that we are expecting a baby in November! And it's a BOY!! I am 16 weeks along and starting to feel much better although still tired. The bump has popped and I am in the awkward in-between stage that some of my clothes fit but pants are a problem lol. Maternity pants are a little too big but I think with how the bump is progressing that won't be an issue within a couple of weeks.

We are so excited and each week feels like a new adventure. My blog posts have been sparse for a couple of reasons. I was pregnant in the Fall and had a missed miscarriage in the beginning of January. It was one of the most devastating times of our lives. Not only had I been sick with first trimester symptoms for 3 months but then had to go through the trauma of a miscarriage and recovery. We bounced back pretty quickly and got pregnant right away. So back through the first trimester I went and that is why the blog has taken a back seat.

For those of you who have still checked in on the blog, thank you! I hope to continue post as frequently as I can with beauty, home, and now pregnancy topics! I would love to hear from you on what you would like to see on King & Kind. Do you like more personal posts, more makeup, more home decor?

  2. Congrats, so exciting! You look amazing. I am actually newly pregnant as well, now quite ready to share on my blog but looking forward to hitting the 15-16 week mark myself :) Just an FYI- Nordstrom and Loft have great maternity choices, I ordered my whole maternity work and lounge wardrobe from both sites the first time around.

    1. Hi Christina, Thank you so much. How fun we are both pregnant together! It feels good to hit 16 weeks for sure. I am definitely on the hunt for maternity clothes now. Nothing fits right!

  3. Congrats Amber! Parenting is such an adventure :) Once your bump "pops" I actually enjoyed maternity clothes.....what sucks is after baby when you still look giant and your body has changed and you don't want anyone in Kroger asking you when you're due! Once you have this nugget, I'll take all your tips!
